Emma at the Desert Star

We bought 3 season tickets to the Desert Star this season.  We are taking each of the children to a show.  It was Emma's turn this past Friday.  The show was Less Miserable.  It was a fun show.  We ate dinner there at the theater and just had a great time enjoying the show and each others company.

Grandpa Spencer's Hip Surgery

 These are some pictures of Gpa Spencer before his surgery.  This is when they were putting the boot on his leg so they could put him in traction and relieve some of the pain in his leg.  Don and I were so frustrated with the nurse doing it.  She took three minutes to do what could have been done in 30 seconds and the entire time Gpa was hollering out loud.  It was so sad.

 Once they put the weight on the boot he calmed right down and said that it took his pain from a 12 to a 2.

Dinner at Tepanyaki

 We thought it would be fun to take the kids to Tepanyaki so they could see the Chef prepare the food right in front of them.  They thought it was awesome.  Kanyon came home and grabbed a spatula and tried to crack an egg on the side like the chef did at our table.  It was a great family night out.

Poor Eli was having a great time on the tramp when one of the bigger kids gave him a bounce and he went flying off and landed head first on the patio.  It was very sad.  His face instantly bruised and was bleeding all over.

 The next morning his left eye was swollen and the bruising was a bit worse.  Alan and I gave him a blessing and he has recovered quickly and looks really good.  It was a super scary time though.

Easter 2013

 We met at the Plain City Park on Saturday morning at 9 am for the annual Easter Egg Hunt.  We got there a little early so our kids played on the playground equipment.  Noah and Kanyon are both too old, man that hurts, to do the hunt, so they helped me with Eli so I could take pictures.  Jaki, Will and Addi were on the same field as Eli so I got some pictures of them too.  Lana went with Kate and poor Emma had to go all by herself to the 8-9 year old field.  Much to our surprise she didn't cry or fuss about it once.

 Eli would have played all day on the slides and stuff, but once he got into the hunt he did fine.  He is not super greedy.  He was content to pick up a piece here and a piece there.  I tried to get a picture afterwards but Sally and her Kids and Ryan and the girls hoofed it so I wasn't able to get them all together.  After the hunt we went over to Sally's for pancakes.  The weather was beautiful.  We had a 70 degree day.

After we had breakfast at Sally's we went to Lee's and the fan got a photo with the Easter Bunny.  Lee's had 10-11 stops inside the store where they handed out things to the kids.  It was really quite nice.

 We had a great time dyeing our eggs together.  Even little Eli had a great time.

 I think it's hilarious that we boil a million eggs to die when there are only 7 of us.  Oh well, the kids have fun dyeing them and always ask for more.

On Sunday, we met at Christy's to do an Easter Egg Hunt.  We got started at 4:30.  We gave Kanyon two bowtie's for Easter.  He want's to be like doctor Who so we obliged him with the bow ties.  He learned how to tie them and he wore one two school today.  What a geek! JUST KIDDING!
