Lava Hot Springs

On Saturday, July 27th, we went with Lana's family up to Lava Hot Springs to run the river and also to play in the pool.  We got up there about 11 am and went right into the pool area.

Lana and Eli going into the pool.
The weather was overcast with a little rain.  The pool water is nice and heated though so it was much warmer in the water than out.  Eli loves the water.  We have to keep him in a life jacket at all times because he will run right up to the water and get in.
Little kate loves going off the diving board.  They also have a climbing wall in the inside pool area.  Kate was a little monkey.  She loved to climb up the wall and drop into the pool.
Kanyon, Ethan and Alexis waiting to go down the green and red slides.

The boys loved jumping off of the platforms.  This is a picture of Ethan and Kanyon jumping.
Kanyon and noah jumping off of the second platform.  I was proud of them.  They loved jumping.

And their off!!!!

Ethan and Kanyon headed up to the yellow and purple slides.  I went up with them and rode the purple slide down.  It was really a lot of fun.

Emma wouldn't jump off the platforms, they were just a little too high for her.  She would jump off the high dive though.  This is a great shot of her jumping.

Poor Emma had her toenail ripped off by the diving board.  It pulled the entire nail right out of the bed and was only hanging on by a tiny piece of skin.  She went into the nurses office for treatment and wouldn't let the nurse clean her toe off.  She cleaned it herself and then let the nurse put the bandaid on.  They wheeled her back out to the pool area in a wheel chair.  Poor kid.
Bye bye Lava!  It was a great day.  Kanyon was the only member of our family to run the river.  He had a great time.  Next time we go everyone will have to run the river.
